Mi-Psych operates as a largely paperless practice and takes the protection of your information seriously.
Clinical and administrative information is stored in secure electronic systems, including dedicated practice management software and secure email and document services. These systems use strong encryption and access controls such as passwords and two-factor authentication.
Clinical records (including session notes, assessments, reports, and relevant correspondence) are stored in encrypted electronic files. Paper documents are scanned into this system and then securely shredded.
Correspondence with referrers may occur via secure fax or encrypted email services. While Mi-Psych uses secure platforms, the security of devices used by you or your referrers cannot be guaranteed. For particularly sensitive documents, you may wish to encrypt and password-protect files before sending.
